Are you at the end of 2013 going, Huh? Where did that year go? The world is speeding up, I’m certain of it. Anyone and everyone you speak with will say the same thing… “Wow! How could it possibly be the end of the year?”
Yesterday was all about taking down the tree and putting away the Christmas decorations for another year. Leaving for India in less than a week also inspired me to clean out closets and drawers while hauling out summer clothes for the trip. Approaching a New Year can do that for me and I know I’m not alone. Letting go of the old and creating space for the new.
OLD FLU, NEW FLU
The flu is nature’s big clean out—and the illness never grows old…it just changes from season to season. Also, the flu seems to be picking up some steam here in Alberta. If you read or listen to the media, you will get a sensational version of the statistics. For a more numbers-only overview, go to the Public Health Agency of Canada website. This summary is for the first week in December, but once you have the link, you can check weekly.
In September of this year, I offered a one-hour class on the flu. Since there is yet again a push with many flu vaccine clinics reopening—and because it is important to me that you have the information you need for prevention and to help you and your vaccine-free family heal with homeopathy should you get the flu in your household—we wanted to make this information available to you for the month of January. I would also encourage every family to research the flu vaccine package insert and reputable websites like the National Vaccine Information Centre before vaccinating. There are side effects to the flu shot—in particular, narcolepsy (involuntary and uncontrollable sleepiness) has been associated with the H1N1 flu vaccine—and, as a participant in one of my Vaccine Free: Now What? classes said, “You can’t take a vaccine back. Know before you go.”
Here is a recently published statistic from the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) in the USA in regards to narcolepsy and the flu vaccine.
Since 2009, an unusually high number of children are being diagnosed with narcolepsy—and often the link is the H1N1 vaccine. Here is a documentary shown this year by the Canadian show W5. Be sure to watch it before you vaccinate for flu.
