Short and sweet for this newsletter, but I hope this finds everyone healthy and well as we move into 2013.
I truly wish health for you because we’ve sure had our share of sickness this holiday! Judging from the emails and phone calls I have received, ‘it’s’ going around and hitting folks fairly hard. The ‘it’? A hard, dry cough that seems to come from the larynx (kind of like croup…be sure to check last week’s newsletter for more information) and the cough seems to come in spells. This illness is not really the flu, not really croup, and not really whooping cough but darn if it isn’t one of the most persistent coughs I have had in a very, very long time!
And who wants to be dashing to the store/pharmacy for a homeopathic remedy when you or your kids are sick? Certainly not me!
So today I have put together a list of the top 10 or 11 homeopathic remedies to have in your ‘home kit.’ (You can also add Spongia and Hepar sulph from last week’s newsletter handout.) You will be well on your way to your JIC 2013 ‘just in case’ remedy stash! Take a look at my recommendations HERE.
I remember when I first started putting my kit together 15 years ago. I started with a small container and soon the hunt was on for bigger and handier storage boxes for my remedy collection. If you find a storage unit that works really well, do let me know. I’ll pass on the information to all my other folks who have quickly outgrown their own boxes!
The remedies suggested in the handout can be used in many different situations, for young and old…even for your pets! These are some of the most essential remedies every home prescriber should have. Some of them are great cough remedies, as well, although you might need a consult with your homeopath to find a specific remedy for your cough symptoms.
