Infectious illnesses in the news

Alarmed at the news reports of outbreaks of infectious childhood illnesses?

We hear the news and feel the panic. Feeling fear is a normal response. We are all caring parents who want the very best for our children. When kids are sick, we worry. “Am I doing the right thing for my child by choosing to be vaccine free?”

Or…maybe, “I vaccinated my kids…why did they get measles, mumps, (fill in the illness)? I don’t understand.”

Or… “I vaccinated my kids and they had a serious adverse reaction. We are vaccine free now, recovering our child’s chronic health problems is our first priority.”

Or… “Our child was born with immune deficiency problems. Vaccination is out of the question.”

Infectious childhood illnesses (measles, mumps, rubella, ‘polio-like’ illnesses, whooping cough) will return whether you are vaccinated or vaccine free. This is already happening. Vaccination, contrary to what was told to parents of my generation, is not immunity. Hence the ‘booster’ shots which are now being given to adults in their 30’s.

WHAT TO DO?

Measles: it’s in the news…again. You can read the media articles online and then read my blog response. What you can do to quell the fears, all in one blog and handout. Feel free to share with others who want to know how to use homeopathy in the event of a measles outbreak in your part of the world.

HERE’S WHAT TO DO IN AN OUTBREAK

  • If you suspect an infectious illness, by all means, see your doctor and get a diagnosis. Infectious illnesses need to be reported. Cooperation and communication with conventional medical doctors is important.
  • After a diagnosis and after the illness is reported, contact your homeopath for healing homeopathic support and prevention if others have been exposed.
