Oof. This could be a whole book. So how to make it just a taste for a blog post?

Let me start with Josh. Josh was a former classmate in college. He was in my Anatomy class and Micro Bio at Penn State Du Bois. The Micro Bio class was small, and the professor (Richard) was my neighbor, so that class had a very laid back atmosphere. (Same Prof for the Anatomy class too. He had us go around the room and introduce ourselves and say why we were taking the class. Packed room, less laid back. I looked right at Richard and said, “I’m here for the easy A.” which, of course, got me laughs, the laughs I was going for. But also, I knew it would be an easy A for me. I test well. I was already an X-ray tech at this point. Science and Bio were my jam. I thought I was smart —now, pretty sure I wasn’t. I just knew how to remember facts and spit them back out for a test.)

Richard is no longer with us. I miss him.
Neither is Josh —and I missed my chance to give him the apology I owed him.

We did the ‘go around the room thing’ in the Micro Bio class too. Josh, who by his last name alone in this town was obviously going to be a chiropractor. And he said as much. I looked at him and said, “Oh c’mon! Why do you want to be a knuckle cracker MD?” He laughed and took it graciously (Who knows, lol, maybe in his head he was thinking, ‘Oh look, another Sheeple!’). He was ACTUALLY smart.

Me? I wanted to be a pediatric neuro surgeon, because go big or go home. I laugh now because in the years since then I’ve been Dx’d with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy and you don’t want me holding a sticky drink over your carpet —let alone a scalpel near a human.

It was January 1998. A month later I would take my 15 month old son to the ‘well baby’ check up that would damage his brain for life.

Yada yada yada, and now I study homeopathy.

Because that’s how you get from there to here if you keep your mind open when searching for the truth. Personal experience + truth seeking = shedding the lies.

It wasn’t over night. It was 2012 before a smart autism mom friend convinced me to at least buy the homeopathic remedy Arnica. Even then I was a little eye-roll-y. They call Arnica the gateway remedy. lol. You can talk almost anyone into trying it because we’ve all seen Arnica cream ads and they’re somewhere etched into our subconscious.

I had a traumatic tooth extraction that left the dentist saying, “Sorry.” and handing me a bottle of Vicodin as he sent me on my way. He told me there would be a lot of bruising and swelling. No shit! I could feel the muscles in my jaw tear as he worked. I’m no fool, I popped one of those Vicodin on the ride home.

When I got home I thought this was the perfect time to try that Arnica stuff. Slammed a few pellets into my mouth and took a nap. When I woke up… it was over. Done. No pain. Never took another Vicodin. Never had any swelling. Not a single bruise.
Hmm. Maybe that stuff works?

I’ve got lots of little stories. I will tell them in time. But my favorite Holy Shit moment came with another dental issue.

Another long story: I’ll just sum it up to say for nine years I suffered ‘worst pain of my life’ tooth/jaw infections, several times a year. Modern dentistry offered me more Vicodin (which, barely helped) and a tooth extraction (different tooth from the other story) —which didn’t help at all. The pain was so bad I found myself wondering if grabbing the Black & Decker and drilling a hole in my face would hurt less because it would be a different kind of pain.

(I just remembered one time when I was lying on the floor in miserable pain from menstrual cramps and asked my police office father —who was all geared up and on his way to work, if he’d shoot me in the uterus because that would hurt different —and now I’m laughing because maybe I always knew on some level that ‘like cures like’ 😉 )

One Friday in 2020 or 2021 ish I remember being in total misery again with this freaking jaw/sinus crap and had run out of Vicodin. I was told if I wanted pain meds I’d have to go to the ER. Well… that wasn’t happening. I sat there in my misery for a while before remembering that I had a homeopathy kit!

OK! I’ll try some Hepar Sulf. That’s the abscess remedy. This has to be a pus filled infection mess. This is clearly the remedy I need!! Popped that remedy and…. nothing. So much for the placebo effect! 😉

Wait, let me back up a second. At some point before this I had watched an online Holistic Dental Health summit and walked away from that with a feeling of dread and doom. To learn that modern dentistry results in sealed up infections in your jaw, and to not have the money to go to a proper dentist to get it all fixed… you just feel like a ticking time bomb. So this vibe was low key somewhere in my subconscious, right?

Anyway, back to my kit…

“I guess I can try Silica.” That’s a ‘pulling’ or expulsion remedy. Splinter? Get you some Silica. It’s also for abscesses but to me, I needed the heavy hitter, which in my head was Hepar —but here goes nothing. Popped some Silica.

At first, immediately, I felt a tingling in every tooth socket. It’s very hard to explain. It felt like freaking magic. That dental health summit came to mind. “Holy crap, my jaw was full of crap!!” then the pressure built up in the problem area to the point where I thought my face was going to shatter.

—lol interestingly, another low key fear, as I had worked with two blind coworkers at Walter Reed (they worked in the dark room 🙂 ) and the one lost her sight when a sinus infection shattered bone and it severed the optic nerve or something… don’t quote me on that, that was like 30 years ago, but that’s what stuck in my head.

So… there I was, about to go blind… and then… POOF. Done. Pain Gone. HEALED. TRUE HEALING. That was 5-6 years ago and it’s never come back.

Nine year chronic problem cured in 20 seconds with a sugar pellet dosed with the frequency of silica, that cost pennies. 30C potency.

How would you NOT want to study that?

I’m sitting here staring at my finger tip, too. A couple months ago I drilled a dirty, chonky Phillips-head bit right into that puppy when I slipped putting together a sideboard. The pain was crazy. I ALMOST went to the ER (Look, I just don’t go to the ER. A couple months ago I experience heart symptoms that would have had me telling someone else to go to the ER, yet there I was, pretty sure I was having a heart attack and/or a stroke*, and I still didn’t go.) —so you know if I was considering the ER it was bad. I don’t do pain.

It took some Ledum, Hypericum, and Bellis and with that, over the course of 20 minutes, the pain stopped and I went back to putting my sideboard together. Today you can barely tell this happened. A tiny, lighter patch of skin where a chewed up hole used to be is the only evidence.

Y’all the homeopaths are onto something. The healers out there using homeopathy, herbals, alignment, energy… they are all onto something. Healing the core issue, not hiding problems with suppressive medicines that make you worse.

I think of Josh often. He’d laugh at me now. I’d tell him that I’m wondering if this isn’t a simulation and selecting the correct remedy is like the power up pellets in a video game —or how I wonder if we even NEED the actual remedies at all, if we could just meditate on the frequency of the remedy and heal ourselves that way… and he’d be like, “Hmm…. and I’m a knuckle cracker?”

I am sorry Josh. That’s my face in the dictionary next to “Wrong AF”.

I “believed” in Western Medicine because I NEVER questioned it. Not until it messed up my kid —and even then it took a couple years for me to get on board. I actively worked as a ‘useful idiot’ for the team, toeing the company line, mocking the true healers.

And I think that is the condition of most in Western Medicine today. They haven’t had their ‘personal experience’ moment yet. They’ve been trained that every one else out there doing alternative things are morons. That’s the culture.

We have to start letting people know that the things Western Medicine say cannot be done and don’t work —are being done, and they are working. Other countries use homeopathy —some to large degrees, and they aren’t sicker than us. Most are healthier and have longer life spans.

Tell me, does homeopathy only NOT work in the USA? Why is it only dangerous quackery in the USA? Hmm.

*I’m fine. I have a little SVT issue and it was combined with a poorly timed migraine that numbed half my face. lol I had to give up my Adderall… lord help me. Still having milder SVT episodes… have to give up my nicotine…. lord help you all!
